Fabrication Estimating Software

theTakeoff.ai reads your isometrics and structural drawings and counts what a fab shop quotes on, so spools, welds, fittings, flanges, bolt sets and member marks come back against the sheet they came from.

Send in the isometrics and the structural sheets. theTakeoff.ai counts the spools, welds, fittings, flanges and members, then shows each one beside the drawing for you to accept, edit or reject.

How it works

Everything a Fab Shop Quotes On, Off the Same Set

The count is the quote, so here is what comes off each drawing type.

01 · SPOOL SCOPE

Off the Isometrics

Pipe by size and class, elbows, tees, reducers, caps, flanges, gaskets, bolt sets, branch connections and every joint on the spool.

02 · MATERIAL IDENTITY

Off the Line Number

Size, pipe class, service and insulation on every line, so carbon and stainless stop sharing a total and spec breaks are flagged where they fall.

03 · STEEL SCOPE

Off the Structural Sheets

Member marks with sizes and lengths, beams, columns, bracing, base plates and connection plates.

Ratings and Dimensions Live in the Engine

ASME B31.3 and B16.5 sit natively in theTakeoff.ai rather than in a spreadsheet somebody in your shop maintains by hand, so a 6 inch 300 pound weld neck flange is identified as exactly that, and the gaskets and bolt sets that follow it are counted the same way.

    FAQ

    Fabrication Estimating Software

What does it count on a fabrication package?

Pipe by size and class, elbows, tees, reducers, caps, branch connections, flanges, gaskets, bolt sets, valves and the joints on each spool. On structural sheets, member marks with sizes and lengths, base plates and connection plates.

Does it separate shop joints from field joints?

It carries the joints as the isometric draws them. Where the drawing does not say which side of the shop door a joint falls on, that stays your call at review.

Is this for pipe fabrication or sheet metal?

Pipe fabrication and industrial steel. Sheet metal and general job shop parts are not what it reads today.

Can it read scanned and legacy drawings?

Yes, including 1980s and 1990s sheets alongside native CAD exports. Low confidence detections are flagged rather than guessed.

How do I know the count is right?

Every detection sits next to the source drawing for accept, edit or reject, and nothing leaves without your sign off.

    Does it replace the estimator?

No. It automates the reading, and your estimator keeps scope, spec breaks, build method and commercial risk.
